3 Lifecycle Definitions
Lead Status Definition Anonymous Lead who has visited a Marketo cookied page but not yet submitted a form. Known Lead who has not yet engaged and may have incomplete information. Engaged Lead has filled out some info, but has not yet reached target score goal Marketing Qualified Lead (MQL) Lead has met lead scoring criteria based on demographic and behavioral scoring to be passed to Sales. Sales Qualified Lead (SQL) Lead is deemed worthy of pursuit by Sales. Sales Accepted Lead (SAL) Sales has evaluated the lead and determines that they are worth pursuing further, or are currently ready to be converted into an opportunity. Opportunity Lead has progressed to the opportunity stage. Won Lead has been closed won Lost Lead has been closed lost Recycling Lead is in the process of being nurtured in an attempt to get them back to a MQL Disqualified Leads in this stage are deemed not worthy for company to market to.
