Mill Waste/Recycling Best Practices
Table stakes – this is what we do, optimize material values and minimize materials sent to landfill. Standardized scrap sales process for operations (mills, distribution, contract manufacturers, etc) Ensure responsible management, maximize material value and secure disposal Centrally control scrap sales in large markets/regions Reduce time spent by mills managing scrap, leverage regional scrap volumes to increase pricing and directs materials to processors not brokers Best Practices LEAN manufacturing principles applied to waste reduction Sort recyclable materials as close to point of generation as possible Minimize handling and movement of waste material Compact high volume/high value scrap Sustainability |

2022 Extending our Zero Waste Mindset
HOW IMPACT IS MEASURED AND ACHIEVED –– Identify and deploy solutions that divert 150,000 MT of products and packaging from landfill to higher value applications. “By thinking differently about design, manufacture and disposal, we are able to harvest value from our products and packaging even after we and our customers are finished with them” Sustainability |

Post Consumer Waste Innovation
2016 – 130 MT (70% gloves, 30% garments) 66 new customers in 2016, 196 total. 2011 started program – 1.65 tons 2015 hit 100 tons diverted The RightCycle Program enables you to: Reach your organization’s sustainability goals Divert waste from the landfill in support of zero waste to landfill goals Give your used nitrile gloves and apparel a new life by aiding in the creation of eco-responsible consumer goods like plastic storage containers and shelving.
