An equation is a mathematical statement that shows 2 quantities are equal. An equation contains an equal sign. 12 – 3 = 9 Numerical 3a = 30 Algebraic To solve any equation use inverse operations. Your goal is to get the variable all by itself.

3 To Solve An Addition Equation
