Steps for Scatterplots
Plot the points. *Do NOT connect the points. 2. “Eyeball” a Line of Best Fit. *Does not have to go through any points. *Use endpoints that are identifiable. 3. Find the equation of the line. *Look for the slope and y-intercept (y=mx+b) OR use the slope and a point [(y-y1)=m(x-x1)] 4. Use the equation to make predictions.
