3 Introduction We can tell what a book will be about by looking at its title first, and then at its contents page. Contents means things that are contained in something. For example, the contents of this case are shirts, ties and socks. The contents of a letter or a book are the ideas and information it contains. 1 2 3 4 5

4 In a book, the information is usually divided into parts and/or chapters. The titles of these parts and/or chapters are shown at the beginning of a book on the contents page. Contents pages are useful because they tell us the kind of information we will probably find in a book. They also tell us where to find the information. 1 2 3 4 5

5 Read the cover of the Student’s Book and answer:
