GCM Strategic Roadmap Overview
DRAFT GCM Strategic Roadmap Overview The roadmap strategically ties together all of our activities so that we are working effectively and collectively toward the underlying goals of the Global Citizens Movement… Basic Strategy – “Don’t put the cart before the horse” As a community, we will develop and execute a number of sustainable inter-related learning, linking, and coordination mechanisms, initiatives, and programs in a purposeful order to support global action on the causes and issues we collectively care about. Major Components Global Vision –What brings us together? What else must we address here? Development & Growth Strategy – How do we grow? How do we coordinate without suffocating organic nature and without institutionalizing the movement? Enabling Platform – What do we need to build together to enable the change we want on any theme now and in the future? From grassroots up to the international CSO level? Bringing it Forward – How do we start using what we’ve built? How do we bridge the GCM enabling platform to the international CSO level all the way to the grassroots level? Minor Components Each component has several sub-components that we must work on as a community
