2 What do we want to Achieve
Design solutions to barriers and make sports and leisure more inclusive for children and youth in Ontario Uncover broader benefits that other sports organizations can use in Ontario Develop this training program that uses inclusive processes and tools

5 Exercise #1 – Introduction 5 minutes
Introduce your self to someone who you don’t know well Identify 2 things in common with one another, and I thing that makes you unique from anyone in this room Introduce your new friend to the large group

6 What is Inclusive Design
Inclusive design is design that considers the full range of human diversity with respect to ability, language, culture, age and other forms of human difference. Inclusive Design Research Centre

8 Exercise #2 – Team Formation (15 minutes)
Move together into your team Name your team Share some of the information from your profile. The objective is to know what strengths each member brings to the team

9 Exercise #3 – Identify Barriers (20 minutes)
Identify barriers in sports and recreation for youth and children with disabilities, and identify the most critical barriers that impede inclusion in sports and recreation. Consider all types of barriers including physical, biases, programming, transportation, etc. Pick top 5 and write names (one barrier per post-it note) Post them on the wall.

10 Exercise #4 – Create a Persona (20 minutes)
Create a persona: An imaginary person with unmet needs related to your team’s challenge. Someone with unmet needs inspired by people you know. Use any of the supplies available such as craft paper, makers, etc. to make your persona.

11 Exercise #5 – Generate Ideas 20 Minutes
