3 PILOLO (Time to Search)
Ghana, Africa Equipment: bean bags, cones, hoops Discuss: Children in Ghana color rocks and hide the rocks for others to find. Hide objects under cones. Give groups of two a hoop. Groups have to find the objects under the cones that match the color of their hoop. They leave the cone down and take the object back to their hoop. One player at a time looks. If they do not find their bean bag they go back to the cone. Non-seeker does activity at hoop. Time groups to see how fast they can find all the bean bags. Challenge the other classes.

4 DRAGON TAIL China, Asia Equipment: scarves
Discuss: The dragon is very important in Chinese culture. Represents Power, Strength, & Good Luck! 6-10 in a group make a line with hands on hips or shoulders of person in front. The tail or last person has a scarf in their waist. The head or front has to grab the scarf. Others have to prevent the head from getting the scarf. Head gets the scarf and becomes the tail.

5 GREAT WALL China, Asia Equipment: Cones and Scarves
Discuss: The Great Wall is very important to Chinese history. It was built for protection from the North. Use the cones to make a wall to separate the playing area in to three parts. (North, Wall, South). Choose 3-5 players to be guards on the wall. The villagers have a scarf in waist stand on the North side. On GO the villagers try to cross to the south over the wall. If their scarf is pulled they put it away and are now guards. Repeat when everyone has tried to cross.

6 COCONUT RELAYS Australia Equipment: bean bags (with coconut pictures)
Discuss: Coconuts are like corn and wheat in Kansas. Groups of 6-8 sit in a circle. One person is the leader with the same number of coconuts as there are people in their group in front of them. On GO the leader hands a coconut one at a time to the person to the left. Coconuts go around the circle and are stopped at the person sitting to the right of the leader. When that person has all the coconuts then they are the new leader, who starts passing them. The coconuts stop at the person to the right of the 2nd leader. This repeats until the first leader has all the coconuts again. Team wins the relay when they are the first team to have all the coconuts back to the first leader!

7 TOUR DE FRANCE France, Europe Equipment: See Map!, maps, crayons
Discuss: The Tour De France is a very famous bike race. It is very important to the culture of France. The 2018 race as 21 stages. Groups of 2-3 have a map of France. Stages of the race are represented by activities that are to be completed by each group. When a stage is completed the team can color it and move to the next stage of their choice TOGETHER! Complete all stages!

9 RAYUELA Columbia, South Africa
Equipment: 20 poly spots, 1 scarf, whistle Mouse Trap! The trap is made with 4 rows of 5 poly spots. Students stand on spots all facing the same direction and hold hands to make rows. One player is selected as the mouse who starts in one corner with the scarf. In the opposite corner stands the cat, who tries to catch the mouse in the maze. The teacher whistles or says a special word (switch, trap) that means turn the same direction to make different rows. The mouse and cat can not go under arms or around in a circle. Change the mouse and cat after the mouse is caught.
