Dead or Alive Death is separation
Physical: spirit from body (James 2:26) Spiritual: spirit from God (Isa. 59:2) Spiritually dead, physically alive (I Tim. 5:5-6) Spiritually thriving, physically dying (II Cor. 4:16) Age of accountability (Rom. 7:9) All have sinned (I John 1:8,10; Rom. 3:23) Our sins cause spiritual death (Eph. 2:1-3)

Dead or Alive By grace, God makes people alive through faith
We could not save ourselves (Eph. 2:4-10) Plan includes blood, faith, obedience (Col. 2:11-14) Dead faith (James 2:14-26) Dead works (Heb. 6:1-2; 9:13-14)

Dead or Alive Separated from God again
Severed from Christ and fallen from the grace that made us alive (Gal. 5:4) Living in sin is bad, returning to it is worse (II Peter 2:20-22) Live as those who have been brought from death to life (Rom. 6:13) The dying church (Rev. 3:1-6)

Dead or Alive Spiritual state becomes permanent when we die
Eternal punishment or eternal life (Matt. 25:46) The fruit of our spiritual status (Rom. 6:21-23; 2:6-8) Hell is called the second death (Rev. 21:8) Faithful will not die again (Rev. 2:11; John 8:51; 5:24) The father celebrated the son’s return, as God will celebrate yours (Luke 15:24, 32)
