Vocab Predation- an interaction in which one animal (the predator) captures and feeds on another animal (the prey).

Predation Biological interaction where predator feeds on prey.Eg: Lions and gazelles, polar bears and seals, humans and cows, snakes and deer.

Herbivory- is an interaction in which one animal (the herbivore) feeds on producers (EG. Plants).

Herbivory Interaction where animal (herbivore) feeds on producers (plants). Eg: Aphids and plants, horses and plants, and rabbits and vegetables/plants.

Keystone species- changes in population of a single species, which can lead to dramatic changes in a structure of a community.

Keystone Species Keystone species is a species that has an unequal effect on its environment relative to its biomass. Eg: Grizzly bear, elephants, jaguar.
