2 Dropped Objects Vessel working in North Sea backloading deck cargo. After disconnecting, the Deck Crew reported a shackle lying on the edge of the lift which had just been sent down. This shackle is a “green-pin” 6.5 tonne shackle.

3 Dropped Objects After back-loading 20ft half height H702, the AB’s noticed a shifting spanner on top of the lift, and immediately reported it to the Bridge Fortunately this was a Near Miss and not a Dropped Object Incident. The potential for a very serious incident is obvious
