3. When do British people celebrate Christmas?
Christmas is celebrated on December 25. Christmas is a religious holiday and one of the happiest holidays of the year, because it is the day that Christians celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ. British people prepare for Christmas weeks before.

4. Christmas Decorations
Before Christmas you can see colourful lights and decorations in the city streets and the shop windows. The cities look beautiful.

5. What is the main symbol of Christmas?
A Christmas tree

6. How do they decorate the tree?
They decorate it with colourful lights, tinsel, glass balls, golden stars and toys.

7. What do they hang on the door?
a holly wreath with ribbons and berries

8. Who brings presents on Christmas Eve?
Father Christmas (Santa Claus in America)

9. Many children believe that Santa Claus arrives on Christmas Eve in a sleigh pulled by a reindeer.

Christmas gifts in bright paper and ribbons

13. Christmas Dinner
A traditional Christmas dinner consists of stuffed turkey, mashed potatoes, cranberry sauce and a variety of other dishes. Pumpkin pie, plum pudding and fruitcake are favourite desserts.
