1. Garden Creatures
These colourful markers will brighten up any green space. Have fun with the designs and colours to make yours really unique.
You will need:
Large-ish stones, pebbles or golf balls, clean and dry.
Non-toxic outdoor craft paint e.g. DecoArt Patio Paint or Americana Multi-surface paint
A variety of paint brushes
1. Select your stones and give them a good clean, removing any dirt or dust. Make sure they are clean and dry before painting them. Apply a coat of paint to your stones and allow to dry. Apply more coats of paint until you get the colour you want, allowing the paint to dry completely between coats.
2. Once you are happy with your base colour, apply your design to your stone. I’ve make my pebbles and golf balls into bumble bees and ladybirds but you could do snails, caterpillars, woodlice .... anything you can think of. Try using contrasting colours to make your designs stand out.
3. Allow the paint to dry completely before packaging your stones ready for the You Grow-They Grow sale. Some paints need to cure for a few days before they are weather-proof so don’t forget to check the paint instructions.
