CLIMATE Winter is from December to February, It is quiet dry and sunny. Spring is from March to May. The famous cherry blossoms are out. Summer is from June to August. The country experience three to four weeks rainy season. Autumn is from September to November characterized with light breeze and cooler temperature .

The Japanese Language The most common language in Japan is Japanese.
Nowadays Japan is becoming one of the biggest trading countries in the world, and therefore English is gradually used in Japanese business. Most Japanese speak English with a strong accent, sometimes it may cause misunderstanding. It is a good idea to have an interpreter when visiting Japanese business people.

Gift Giving Etiquette Gifts are usually given in many occasions in Japan. Gifts should be well wrapped and in odd number, but not nine. Do not give potted plants and flowers. Taking great care to ask someone who understands the Japanese culture well to help you choose the gift. A good quality chocolate or wine is usually the best option.

Japanese tend to do business based on personal relationships. Building and maintaining relationships with Japanese business people is essential. Being introduced to the company by someone who you have a good relationship with or who has a great influence in the company is very helpful. Maintaining constant communication and contact. Sending greeting cards on special events.

Meetings should be scheduled in advance. Preparing a detailed agenda proposal. Introducing yourself and your company in the first meeting. Talking concisely and with confidence. Carrying enough business cards to the meeting. Preparing a transcript of your presentation materials in Japanese.
