Meet Miss Kindmark! I graduated from Brigham Young University last April. This is my first year at Summit, but last year I taught fourth grade as an intern in Jordan. Before becoming a teacher, I worked at the Tower of Terror in Walt Disney World! I love all things Disney! I am originally from Indiana. I love being here in Utah because of the mountains! I have a passion for photography and rock climbing, and Utah provides the perfect setting for both! I am so excited to be teaching in 3rd grade at Summit Academy! I can’t wait to get to know each student and help them become the best they can be! Feel free to contact me at any time with questions! I check my before and after school so that my attention during school hours is focused on your wonderful children!

A little about MRs. LamberT!
I graduated from Utah State University…Go Aggies! I taught third grade in Murray district for 3.5 years before I came to Summit. I taught 4th grade at Summit the first year it opened, and 3rd the last 2 years. I love to travel and see the world! I’ve been to most of the states, the Dominican, a lot of Europe, Mexico, and Asia. Traveling has given me a greater perspective and understanding of how other people live their lives all over the world. I also like spending time outdoors: hiking, camping, boating, exercising, beach time… I like learning how to do new things! I got married over the summer and got a puppy!

We will be using many forms of positive reinforcement this year.
Behavior Management We will be using many forms of positive reinforcement this year. Individual: We will be using a ticket system this year. Tickets will be given for being on task, setting an example to others, being prepared, and good behavior. Students can save up their tickets to buy coupons or put their tickets in a raffle. Class: different for each teacher Discipline: There are different tiers of discipline. The first tier includes infractions within the classroom. Five classroom offenses in a day or 3 think time logs will result in an office disciplinary referral, which is a tier 2 offense.

Third offense in class equals a think time sheet

Supplies

Supplies A daily planner will be filled out by your student at school. It is THEIR responsibility to fill it out and show it to you nightly. Parents please sign the reading calendar each night, as your child will receive tickets for having it completed . Signing this planner also shows us that you are aware of what work your student is responsible for each week. Planners are given and returned on Mondays. Late /redo work is accepted with the exception of weekly reading minutes. Missing work reports will come home twice a month and a progress report will come home once a term. Students with no missing work will get to attend a Fun Friday activity, while those who have missing work will be provided a study hall time. An introduction letter will be sent home for each class once we are in our groups if any additional supplies are needed.
