4 How does MyFitnessPal work?
Everything you eat can be added to MyFitnessPal and the app calculates the amount of calories you intake per day. It is also customizable, asking you your gender, age, height, and activity level. MyFitnessPal then sets you up with a list of Macro and Micronutrients that you should be consuming per day.

5 How does MyFitnessPal work (cont.)?
MyFitnessPal also tracks the amount of calories you burn You can manually add in the exercises you do, and it will track the amount of calories you burn for your height and weight Therefore the students will be able to see their calorie intake vs. expenditure.

6 How does MyFitnessPal work (cont.)?
You can manually type in what you eat, or you can use the barcode scanner and add in a food that way. You can also add the amount of servings you ate.

7 How to incorporate MyFitnessPal into a Physical Education Class:
MyFitnessPal is a great way to show students how they can lead a healthy lifestyle all the time, by tracking their calorie intakes and expenditure, and to see if they are eating the right types and amounts of food to hit their macronutrients for the day.

8 Assessment Use: MyFitnessPal can be used for an assessment, by the teacher asking the students to have a food log and exercise log. This is a good way for the students to keep exercising, and also for them to see the types of foods that they are consuming.

It is a growing app amongst Physical Education Teachers, and is a great way for the students to learn about exercise and nutrition
