HT (n = 45), healthy control subjects (HC) (n = 22), DTC-I, recurrent or persistent DTC (n = 27), DTC-II, disease free DTC (n = 34). Tg clusters are defined by 10 Tg-Mabs as previously characterized by Ruf et al (23). Original Mab nomenclature: cluster I, J7C73.7, J8A53.9, J8A32.13, J7B49.15; cluster II, J8B6.12, J8B45.5; cluster III, J8B89.5, J7C44.6; cluster IV, J7C73.7, J8A53.9, J8A32.13, J7B49.15, J7C44.6; cluster V, J7C9.3; cluster VI, J7C The immunodominant clusters are shown in the upper panels, while the nondominant clusters are in the lower panels. *P = .01 vs controls, **P = .001, vs controls. Tg was measured with three different assays: IRMA (n = 61), ECLIA (n = 61), and RIA (n = 52). The dashed horizontal lines denote functional sensitivities for the assays. P values are for the differences in median Tg concentration between patients with recurrent or persistent disease (DTC-I) and disease free patients (DTC-II). TgAb was measured with three different assays: (1) ECLIA and analyzed on the modular analytics 130, ECLIA-1 (n = 59), (2) in-house ELISA (n = 61), and (3) ECLIA and analyzed on a cobas analyzer, ECLIA-2 (n = 61). The dashed horizontal lines denote arbitrary low (100 kIU/L) and high (1000 kIU/L) cut-off concentrations. P values are for the differences in median TgAb concentration between patients with recurrent/persistent disease and patients without disease.
