Who’s Laughing Now? by Pastor T.A. Brown Luke 8:53 Sunday Morning Service October 16,2016 Give thanks to Pastor Fee and all leaders and congregants of Amazing Grace for receiving and ready to hear the word of God. I pray that the word will fall on good ground to all those here and abroad on the internet.

Luke 8:49-56 (NLT) 49 While he was still speaking to her, a messenger arrived from Jairus’s home with the message, “Your little girl is dead. There’s no use troubling the Teacher now.” 50 But when Jesus heard what had happened, he said to Jairus, “Don’t be afraid. Just trust me, and she will be all right.” 1. 51 When they arrived at the house, Jesus wouldn’t let anyone go in with him except Peter, James, John, and the little girl’s father and mother. 52 The house was filled with people weeping and wailing, but he said, “Stop the weeping! She isn’t dead; she is only asleep.” Read on to next slide____________________>

53 But the crowd laughed at him because they all knew she had died
53 But the crowd laughed at him because they all knew she had died. 54 Then Jesus took her by the hand and said in a loud voice, “Get up, my child!” 55 And at that moment her life returned, and she immediately stood up! Then Jesus told them to give her something to eat. 56 Her parents were overwhelmed, but Jesus insisted that they not tell anyone what had happened. 1st point Jesus was in a crowd and great healings were taking place. The Savior was being busy healing a performing miracles. 2Nd despite of the crowds and the healings Jesus had been ask by Jarius earlier to come lay hands on his 12 yr. old daughter who was sick. Jesus was on his way. 3rd you can imagine how Jarius felt due to the urgency his he was feeling for his daughter to be healed, but Jesus took time to healed those around him. 4TH While walking toward Jarius’ house one of his servants came to him and pressed through the crowd to let Jarius know his daughter died. Imagine you!! Finally the King of King makes it to the house where he family and friends are inside the house wailing and crying saying its to late she is dead. Never doubt when the King OF King arrives on the scene its never to late. Jesus replies that she was just asleep and they laughed at him. Remember this is the city of Capernaum where Jesus later cursed due to their unbelief. Remember the only ones that were allowed to stay inside with Jesus was the Peter, James John, and the parents. When it comes to handling God’s business all mockers, haters and unbelieving people stay outside of the Kingdom. Jesus told them not to tell anyone what he did some times when you are living for Christ you don’t have to say a word because the world will see the light that in your life. My question is who is laughing now!!

Daniel 3:13:30 (NLT) 13 Then Nebuchadnezzar flew into a rage and ordered Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego to be brought before him. When they were brought in, 14 Nebuchadnezzar said to them, “Is it true, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, that you refuse to serve my gods or to worship the gold statue I have set up? Next Slide

16 Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego replied, “O Nebuchadnezzar, we do not need to defend ourselves before you. 17 If we are thrown into the blazing furnace, the God whom we serve is able to save us. He will rescue us from your power, Your Majesty. 18 But even if he doesn’t, Your Majesty can be sure that we will never serve your gods or worship the gold statue you have set up.” Guards and people inside the palace were listening and watching when the king expressed his anger toward the 3 Hebrew boys. I can imagine some of them snickering in disbelief that these 3 boys were failing to bow down to the statue and the kings orders.
8
19 Nebuchadnezzar was so furious with Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego that his face became distorted with rage. He commanded that the furnace be heated seven times hotter than usual. 20 Then he ordered some of the strongest men of his army to bind Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego and throw them into the blazing furnace. 21 So they tied them up and threw them into the furnace, fully clothed. 22 And because the king, in his anger, had demanded such a hot fire in the furnace, the flames leaped out and killed the soldiers as they threw the three men in! 23 So Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, securely tied, fell down into the roaring flames. I can imagine while the three boys waited in the dungeon the guards standing by their cells telling them that should have bowed down the king is ordering the furnace to heated 7 times hotter and your God can’t save you bow down and I will tell the king you are ready to comply. While the other guards were making jokes and laughing and betting how fast the 3 boys would burn up in the fire.

24 But suddenly, as he was watching, Nebuchadnezzar jumped up in amazement and exclaimed to his advisers, “Didn’t we tie up three men and throw them into the furnace?” “Yes,” they said, “we did indeed, Your Majesty.” 25 “Look!” Nebuchadnezzar shouted. “I see four men, unbound, walking around in the fire. They aren’t even hurt by the flames! And the fourth looks like a divine being*!” Noticed the chains have been broken and they were walking around free inside the chamber. Not only were they walking free INSIDE THE CHAMBER THEY WERE DANCING AND HANGINGOUT WITH THE KING OF KINGS.
10
26 Then Nebuchadnezzar came as close as he could to the door of the flaming furnace and shouted: “Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, servants of the Most High God, come out! Come here!” So Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego stepped out of the fire. 27 Then the princes, prefects, governors, and advisers crowded around them and saw that the fire had not touched them. Not a hair on their heads was singed, and their clothing was not scorched. They didn’t even smell of smoke! Once they came out of the chamber the king acknowledge who’s God is for real. Whenever you are put in a chamber of life with hardships and bound don’t give up because your God will be there to rescue you. Continue to be steadfast to serve God. When those who were laughing at you they will see that your God is real and alive. My question is who’s laughing now!!
11
Daniel 6:4-28 (NLT) 4 Then the other administrators and princes began searching for some fault in the way Daniel was handling his affairs, but they couldn’t find anything to criticize. He was faithful and honest and always responsible. 5 So they concluded, “Our only chance of finding grounds for accusing Daniel will be in connection with the requirements of his religion.” Satan is watching and he is looking for away to trip you up. Daniel was handling his affairs but others were watching THOSE HATERS!! Family members, friends and others are watching and some despise you because of your faith.
12
6 So the administrators and princes went to the king and said, “Long live King Darius! 7 We administrators, prefects, princes, advisers, and other officials have unanimously agreed that Your Majesty should make a law that will be strictly enforced. Give orders that for the next thirty days anyone who prays to anyone, divine or human—except to Your Majesty—will be thrown to the lions. 8 And let Your Majesty issue and sign this law so it cannot be changed, a law of the Medes and Persians, which cannot be revoked.” 9 So King Darius signed the law. I can imagine plotting this decree those who got the king to sign it were snickering and laughing behind the scenes saying Daniel won’t be around much longer. The Bible tells us satan is like a lion waiting to devour and deceive anyone. To hate and to plot against a innocent man is just evil!!
13
10 But when Daniel learned that the law had been signed, he went home and knelt down as usual in his upstairs room, with its windows open toward Jerusalem. He prayed three times a day, just as he had always done, giving thanks to his God. 11 The officials went together to Daniel’s house and found him praying and asking for God’s help. 12 So they went back to the king and reminded him about his law. “Did you not sign a law that for the next thirty days anyone who prays to anyone, divine or human—except to Your Majesty—will be thrown to the lions?” “Yes,” the king replied, “that decision stands; it is a law of the Medes and Persians, which cannot be revoked.” As you can see Daniel knew he was not going to defy God there was no debating that’s why he prayed. The example God is showing us is that when people and circumstances come against you find a place to pray and call on the name of the Lord. I can imagine now the haters are secretly laughing saying we got him now. No more Daniel I can’t wait to see those lions chew him up. They are hungry to because we haven't fed them for several weeks just for this occasion.
14
13 Then they told the king, “That man Daniel, one of the captives from Judah, is paying no attention to you or your law. He still prays to his God three times a day.” 14 Hearing this, the king was very angry with himself for signing the law, and he tried to find a way to save Daniel. He spent the rest of the day looking for a way to get Daniel out of this predicament. 15 In the evening the men went together to the king and said, “Your Majesty knows that according to the law of the Medes and the Persians, no law that the king signs can be changed.” See the king really didn't want to see Daniel thrown in the lions den but because the laws of the land refuse to change the decree. Don’t let some people tell you they are a Christian but hey understand pro-choice and homo-sexuality and its okay to compromise with the word of God. Remember the bible is very clear “HE THAT IS A FRIEND OF THE WORLD IS A ENEMY OF GOD” YOU CAN’T SERVE 2 MASTERS. You the king put on your big boy pants Darius and change the decree!!
15
16 So at last the king gave orders for Daniel to be arrested and thrown into the den of lions. The king said to him, “May your God, whom you worship continually, rescue you.” 17 A stone was brought and placed over the mouth of the den. The king sealed the stone with his own royal seal and the seals of his nobles, so that no one could rescue Daniel from the lions. 18 Then the king returned to his palace and spent the night fasting. He refused his usual entertainment and couldn’t sleep at all that night. 19 Very early the next morning, the king hurried out to the lions’ den. 20 When he got there, he called out in anguish, “Daniel, servant of the living God! Was your God, whom you worship continually, able to rescue you from the lions?” I can say at least the king had a conscience and he felt bad what happen to Daniel. The bible said he did not sleep at all because a troubling spirit was bothering him. I’m quite sure king Darius was praying also that Daniel’s God would prevail. He went against his orders we just don’t know it.
16
21 Daniel answered, “Long live the king
21 Daniel answered, “Long live the king! 22 My God sent his angel to shut the lions’ mouths so that they would not hurt me, for I have been found innocent in his sight. And I have not wronged you, Your Majesty.” 23 The king was overjoyed and ordered that Daniel be lifted from the den. Not a scratch was found on him because he had trusted in his God. 24 Then the king gave orders to arrest the men who had maliciously accused Daniel. He had them thrown into the lions’ den, along with their wives and children. The lions leaped on them and tore them apart before they even hit the floor of the den. I can imagine the king hoping that Daniel was alive he had seen that there was something different about Daniel. Once he yelled out and Daniel said long live the king he knew Daniel’s God is the greatest. God wants to remind you he is great rejoice church and fear not for he cares for you like he did for Daniel, Sadrach, Mesach, and Abednego. My question is who’s laughing now. He hasn’t forgotten you.
17
25 Then King Darius sent this message to the people of every race and nation and language throughout the world: “Peace and prosperity to you! 26 “I decree that everyone throughout my kingdom should tremble with fear before the God of Daniel. For he is the living God, and he will endure forever. His kingdom will never be destroyed, and his rule will never end. 27 He rescues and saves his people; he performs miraculous signs and wonders in the heavens and on earth. He has rescued Daniel from the power of the lions.” 28 So Daniel prospered during the reign of Darius and the reign of Cyrus the Persian.* Once you become that strong witness and you failed to wavier and trust in even kings and people in high places will acknowledge that the God you serve is great. Listen to the decree that the king gave. I wish our leaders in the U.S.A. would see this decree and learn from it.

1 Corinthians 15:53-55 (NLT) 53 For our perishable earthly bodies must be transformed into heavenly bodies that will never die. 54 When this happens—when our perishable earthly bodies have been transformed into heavenly bodies that will never die—then at last the Scriptures will come true: “Death is swallowed up in victory.* 55 O death, where is your victory? O death, where is your sting?”* When our bodies change and we escape death and those that doubted, laughed, questioned your faith, talked about you being a holy roller, said the rapture would never happened, said God is dead. When wrath strikes this world and God pours out his vengeance I can hear the angels of the Lord saying who’s laughing now!! We need reform ourselves and be happy that we know God and he is alive and watching over us daily even when we didn’t deserve it.

Philippians 2:10 (NLT) 10 so that at the name of Jesus every knee will bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, 11 and every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. Remember satan and all that followed him and those who took the mark of the beast will also learned that we bow down to the King of King prior to them being cast into the Lake of Fire that was only prepared for devil and his angels but since hell as enlarged itself many will be thrown into the pit. I want to reach out to the congregation and the those listening on the internet. If you are slothfully walking around and you are struggling as a Christian and need prayer we are going to pray for you. If you never knew Christ I will be glad to introduce him to you today. Let Jesus come into your heart and learn of his ways. Say the sinners prayer then open up the alters and benediction dismiss the church.
