1. Methods for Identifying Single Housed Animals
Place a vertical blue acetate behind the cage card and a blank blue tab on the cage if animals are singly housed for reasons unknown
Label groups of animals with same code with an acetate on door
Cages can be labeled individually OR

A 4/26/15
Select Exemption Code:
A Attrition-Lack of suitable litter mate, death, new arrivals shipped separately
B Breeding- Stud males or pregnant female removed due to overcrowd
F Fighting-Aggressive animals not able to be housed with others, demonstrated, documented social incompatibility
P Protocol-Specific reasons listed in protocol
V Veterinary-Ongoing veterinary treatments or recommendations
