Services: Industrial Engineering
The majority of the staff utilized for industrial projects have 20+ years of engineering experience, specifically with industrial facilities. These experienced engineers and designers are competent in multiple facets of engineering projects including site design, foundation design, building design, equipment layout and conveyor design, piping layout and design, and structural steel design. Johnson & Pace understands the importance of close coordination between the design team, client, and equipment venders to ensure that project goals are met with respect to the overall design, budget, schedule, and construction phasing.

Services Continued: Land Development
Within the umbrella of civil engineering, land development engineering requires expertise in many civil disciplines including water resources (water, sewer, hydraulics, and hydrology), geotechnical, transportation, and environmental engineering. Compliance with local, county, state, and federal regulations is critical in the development of land. Our design professionals specialize in all aspects of site development engineering and regulatory permits for projects; they have a wealth of experience in design, and construction management support, as well as many other key land development services.
6
Services Continued: Land Surveying
Johnson & Pace has professional experience in all facets of a survey project. Teams are comprised of in-house, licensed surveyors, and several field crews who use highly accurate surveying equipment, including Leica and Trimble GPS units; Topcon, Sokkia and Leica total station; and AutoCAD and Terramodel software. To ensure time and cost savings when it comes to surveying safety, Johnson & Pace is compliant with government and safety organization regulations. All team members wear PPE to reduce injuries and attend regular safety meetings to identify potential hazards and mitigate risks. J&P compliance records are available from our safety organization memberships.

Services Continued: MEP Engineering
The mechanical, electrical and plumbing (MEP) engineers of Johnson & Pace provide high quality, accurate designs and services that comply with established codes and technical guidelines. Using Autodesk REVIT, our engineers use building information modeling (BIM) to make facility design a collaborative, integrated process with architects and other designers. Energy-saving and cost-saving measures are standard inclusions for each Johnson and Pace design. During the designing process, our mechanical engineers can incorporate “green” initiatives, such as the Green Business Certification Inc.’s (GBCI) Leadership Energy Environmental Design (LEED) Certification, to the extent desired by the client.
8
Services Continued: Mining Engineering
Our services include mining and civil engineering planning, design and construction support along with land surveying assistance. We design mine sedimentation ponds, diversions, access and haulroads, all reclamation structures, as well as county and TxDOT highway relocations. Johnson & Pace provides civil engineering and surveying services to the mining industry and maintains a strong safety record. Plans are submitted to the Rail Road Commission (RRC) for approval before any design is constructed; we also submit plans to the U.S. Mine Safety and Health Administration (MSHA) or Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) if necessary.

Services Continued: Structural Engineering
Precision and accuracy are the watchwords for Johnson & Pace's team of structural engineers who design buildings and structures to stand the test of time. Our engineers evaluate the suitability of building materials and match the product to the project to optimize cost-effectiveness. Our staff includes Texas Commission of Insurance Windstorm Engineers and Inspectors. Johnson & Pace staff are qualified to be registered as structural engineers in most states that have a specialty designation. Our team also includes a LEED AP BD+C credentialed structural engineer.
