Knowledge and Skills Anchor Charts
Grade 3 Math Knowledge and Skills Anchor Charts This power point tool can be used for planning or instruction. Two versions of the Knowledge and Skills pages are included (an electronic and a “ready-for-paper” version) Slide 4 (repeated as slide 16) shows everything to be taught in Gr 3 Math, arranged by Knowledge and Skill family.

Directions for Planning:
The following slides allow for teachers to brainstorm the vocabulary and stimuli gathered from the Content pieces on the PLC Menu for Planning. (See slide 7 for K&S 3.4 for an example.) Teachers may want a paper copy (slides 16 – 26) to take notes. Teachers should then use the PLC Menu to enhance each unit with additional stimuli, activities, and evidences of learning. Save the slides or copies to enhance next year and to guide the construction of the classroom Anchor Chart. Directions for Instruction: Modify an electronic version of the slide that goes with your current unit to match the Anchor Chart created with your students as the unit progresses. Be sure to take pictures of the stimuli that are actually used, the activities, and the student work to add to the power point page. As a review, click through the electronic version, with your students providing the talk about what they remember about each part of the slide. Save the slides to review in the Spring.
