Al did not invent the internet. The U.S. Military and University Researchers developed the ideas that became THE INTERNET!

2. 1983 Internet Protocols Protocols were online for the first time.
Protocols are the rules and methods that computers use to connect and share information with each other.
Now clients (computer users) could use a protocol to connect to another computer. You could ride your bike to the ice cream store.

3. 1960’s
Many people were certain that the Russians were going to attack our country and bomb us. A WAY to communicate quickly was much wanted. Scientists explored different ways to do this.

4. Inconceivable
1987
The number of computers that were connected (to the internet) was 10,000. This was a very large number at that time. Today there are billions of computers that are connected to the Internet.
