The Institute of The Motor Industry is the professional body for individuals working in the motor industry and the authoritative voice of the retail automotive sector.
The IMI’s aim is to ensure that the automotive retail sector has a skilled, competent and professional workforce that is fully equipped to keep pace with the demands of new technology and changing markets.

We are asking you to launch a new vehicle of your own design with a focus on:
Research
Design
Strategy & Planning
In all entries we are looking for creativity.

Task 1: Research
Choose a target market
Explain why you chose them
What does that audience already have for them?
Explore what they would want from a new vehicle

Design your logo
Create your strapline
Design your vehicle
What is your USP?

Task 3 Planning
Explore how you are going to launch your vehicle
Design a media campaign to launch your vehicle to the market
Plan a promotional event to launch your vehicle
Design an advertising campaign to promote your vehicle

9. ‘The Pitch’ Now its time to ‘sell’ your vehicle to an audience
You can either gather your ideas and put them into a Power Point presentation OR
2. Present or ‘pitch’ your ideas and film it
Send your final designs into to enter

11. The winning team…
Will be treated to a dream day out at Mercedes-Benz world.
You will start the day off with a fabulous breakfast in the AMG conference suite overlooking the track
You will get a guided tour of the museum with special access to all attractions and exhibits.
You will also have your very own driving experience on the on or off road track (depending on your age)
There may also be some souvenirs heading your way as well.

Maximum of 6 people in a group
All entries are to be submitted electronically and in a power point presentation format OR video
