Satan “sifts” you to reveal the dirt and trash in your life
He uses our faults to accuse us and condemn us before God

The Devil Condemns us; The Holy Spirit Cleanses us

3. Your Abilities Will Sabotage You
Peter was sabotaged by his own abilities:
Self-Confidence (Prov. 28:26)
Prayerlessness (Lk. 22:44-46)
Fleshly Courage (Lk. 22:33)

4. Your Actions Will Surprise You
Peter did not expect to deny the Lord
“Wherefore let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall.” (I Cor. 10:12)
“The heart is deceitful above all things and without cure. Who can understand it?” (Jer. 17:9)

5. Your Advocate Will Secure You
Our Advocate is the Lord Jesus Christ (I Jn. 2:1, Heb. 7:25)
God allows Satan to come against us to reveal what is in our hearts
The most miserable person is a saved person who is out of fellowship with Jesus
The most joyful people are those who stand for Jesus
