1
Refugees and migrants seeking for Their future in the united Europe
3
WHICH ARE THE CAUSES? WAR POVERTY UNEMPLOYMENT
ILLIBERAL/DICTATORIAL REGIMES
4
WHY? THIS WAS ALWAYS WAS THERE. SINCE ANCIENT TIMES.
TODAY IS MORE INTENSE THAN EVER. CREATE HUGE ECONOMIC AND SOCIAL PROBLEMS. IT’S MAINLY A HUMANITARIAN PROPLEM. NOBODY CAN TREAT THAT ALONE. THE COOPERATION OF ALL COUNTRIES OF EUROPE NECESSARY. EUROPEAN VALUES ARE TO BE JUDGED FROM THE TREATMENT OF THIS PROBLEM ..
5
WHY? AFFECT MUCH MORE, THE YOUNG PEOPLE. WE MUST PREPARE OUR STUDENTS.
DIRECTLY AFFECT OUR SCHOOLS. AS TEACHERS AND STUDENTS, WE SHOULD BE MORE SENSITIVE TO SOCIAL PROBLEMS.
6
We expect the following impact on all participants(Students, teachers, parents)
They will be more tolerant in accepting immigrants/refugees in their communities as a result, we expect that the integration of the immigrants/refugees will be done more smoothly. The democratic beliefs should be reinforced, as well as active citizenship and EU awareness. Additionally, they will increase their involvement in voluntary organizations relevant to the project(Civil Defense/Protect, Red Cross/ Cressent etc) Increased communication skills( accepting diversities), language skills(Local language as well as English), ICT skills. As a result of the above we expect an immediate decrease in early school leaving (by 3% during the first year and up to 5% in the next 5 years) as well as decrease in delinquency within and outside the school community.
7
Through the project students as well as teachers will acquire the knowledge on how to construct and perform a survey, as well as how to analyze the results and suggest solutions to the raised questions. (Questionnaire creation, data collection, Data analysis, Presentation of Results ) Through the project the participants will acquire/increase their competences in handling difficult situations and facing crisis, learn to work autonomously – critical thinking, learn leadership & group work skills also increase their creativity and ability to innovate. All the above mentioned newly acquired skills will help the participants in their future employment as well as in their everyday lives in general.
8
We also expect Teachers:
We expect to become better teachers through attending seminars exchanging good teaching techniques, increase our skills in ICT and languages and use innovative techniques in teaching. Additionally our mingling with different civilizations will make us more tolerant to diversities. Schools: We expect ourschools to achieve better educational/pedagogical results since there will be a more democratic environment, with less delinquency, improved relationships between students as well as between teachers and students and having more efficient teachers.
9
What is the desired impact of the project at the local, regional, national, European and/or international levels? The school community is a reflection of the local/regional community and vice versa for this reason we expect that the impact on school community(Students, Teachers and parents) will be reflected onto the local/regional community as well. Additionally we expect parents to become more involved in school life & different activities connected with the project, including hosting foreign students which will broaden their horizons. A cooperation to be developed between local & regional institutions and the partner schools Furthermore through the project the voluntary NGO(Rescue teams, Civil Defense/Protect, Red Cross/Cressent etc) will be known to a wider range of people and therefore appreciated and as a result of the above the organizations will be reinforced with new members. We expect to increase the percentage by 3% of students who find jobs on labour market as a result of finishing school. We believe that the impact to the society will continue well after the project is over.
