2 Figure The clinical course. The levels of plasma triglyceride, lipase, glucose, and anion gap of the patient were plotted over time. Time 0 was when the patient presented to the ED. Anion gap was calculated with the formula [serum sodium–(serum carbon dioxide+serum chloride level)]. Pancreatitis occurred 1 day after the diagnosis of diabetic ketoacidosis.
