4. Paris Peace Conference
European leaders met in Paris in 1919
Representatives from Britain, France, Italy
Now that WWI was over, they needed to discuss what to do with Germany (the loser!)

wanted reduction of military forces
wanted self-determination (independence) for all nations
League of Nations: organization in which world nations would work together for peace
