Personal Evangelism is our purpose.

Review Of The Last Lesson Our responsibility is to teach people. We realize there are people not familiar with the Bible or its concepts. We look to the example of Jesus on how to teach others. Focusing upon the truth of Gods word and recognizing that truth will bring about salvation.

Why This Approach? Now you are probably thinking that I have gone bonkers. But wait a few minutes before you pass judgment. Let's see where Im coming from. These comparisons just might surprise you. Now you are probably thinking that I have gone bonkers. But wait a few minutes before you pass judgment. Let's see where Im coming from. These comparisons just might surprise you.

THE LOCATION First we know where NOT to find the Big-Mac © Library, Shoe store, City Hall, quarter store, hardware store, in fact most stores (obviously this was written before Wal-marts brought McDonalds into the stores) Our homes, the rodeo arena, our favorite hunting or fishing spots, etc. You will not find it at Subway, China Palace, Taco-Bell, Sonic, or Shooters.

The Location: o We will find a Big-Mac where it belongs. o At McDonalds. o Everywhere and anywhere you find a McDonalds, you will find a Big-Mac. o This is where it was created, and this is where it was trademarked, and this is where it is marketed.

The Location: What does this have to do with the truth? 1 st, we learn where not to find the truth. Smutty magazines, love novels, science books, most restaurants and retail stores, etc.

The Location of the Truth Food you find in a restaurant. ----- Truth you find in a church. As you can not find a Big-Mac in just any restaurant, you cannot find the truth in just any church. You can only find it in the church that serves it. Food you find in a restaurant. ----- Truth you find in a church. As you can not find a Big-Mac in just any restaurant, you cannot find the truth in just any church. You can only find it in the church that serves it.

How can you get it? Matthew 7:7 (NKJV) "Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. You go to the right place and ask for it by name. I want a Big-Mac. Try asking for that at Wendys or Burger King, and see what happens.

Can You Change It? Someone might go in and ask for a Big-mac but add tomatoes or take off the pickles or use mustard instead of the special sauce. People usually treat the truth this way, They do not like it in its purity, so they take away, add to, or change the ingredients. If you want it some way other than what it is, go to Burger-King where you can "have it your way". The bible warns us to take the word as it is, without compromise.

What Makes Up A Big-Mac? Many people remember the ingredients of a Big-Mac. It is the same in all the McDonalds stores. Two all-beef patties, special sauce, lettuce, cheese, pickles, onions, on a sesame-seed bun. What if you only got one beef-patty? Would it be a true Big-Mac?

What happens when you change it? oWoWhen you change the ingredients, it becomes just another sandwich or in our spiritual application, another doctrine. oWoWhen you change it, it ceases to be what it was intended to be. oMoMany people are ignorant of what the Bible contains. oMoMany who are ignorant of scripture still try to explain it, and they do such a poor job. o2o2 Timothy 3:16 (NKJV) "All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work."

Does Everybody Like It? Many people do not like Big-Macs In the same way, many do not like the truth. That becomes evident by how they treat it. Just do not ask for it. If get by accident, trade it in or throw it away. Tell others you do not like it. Make up stories about why others should not enjoy it.

It Is Satisfying. When you find it you are satisfied (usually). You are filled. One's a meal, unless you are some sort of pig. The Truth should work the same way.

Does It Last? Only for a short time. One helping is not enough for sustenance of life. You must constantly receive nourishment in order to live, so you need to go back for more or find nourishment of other sorts, continually.

Is One Helping Enough? o Much like the physical food, one helping will not last a lifetime, o We must continuously seek the nourishment for our spiritual health. o 2Corinthians 4:16 For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day. (KJV) o Ephesians 3:19 And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God. o Ephesians 5:18 And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit;

AAAAHHHHH! Or UGH!!! Reward or Punishment---depending on if you like it. Many people enjoy it, they would not have sold billions had people not liked it. McDonalds tried other sandwiches and discontinued them because they did not sell, Still, some people do not like it.

AAAAH or UGH!!! The truth is enjoyable to some and hard to swallow for others. As Jesus taught, the one's who enjoy it are far fewer than those who despise it. Matt 7:13-14. The straight and narrow that leads to life vs the broad and crooked that leads to destruction.

Simple, yet Complicated The Big-Mac is simple and detailed at the same time. The most simple way to look at a Big-mac is that it is food. You could dig deeper and know the ingredients, and you could even scientifically examine to see the individual ingredients and their origins and characteristics. A pathologist could examine a piece of meat and tell where it came from. A biologist could tell where the onions and lettuce came from and so forth. Even the wheat to make bread can be examined.

Simple Yet Complicated. Now the TRUTH. Perhaps complicated is not the right word, even though some make it that way. Deep would be better in describing the truth of Gods word. It is simple enough to understand, And deep enough to immerse ourselves into it to gather all the knowledge and treasures therein.

A sacrifice is required. In order to receive it, you must make a sacrifice. You must pay for it. $2.39 now. You trade your money for what you want. Sometimes it was on for $.99, or some other special.

A sacrifice is required. In order to receive the truth, we must make some sacrifice. We must give up or change our feelings, emotions, and in many cases, our lifestyle when we are exposed to the truth and decide to accept it.

It Is Decision Time Am I as bonkers as you thought a little while ago? Or does this make sense. Can you think of some other comparisons along this line. Next we will do some comparing of the church with McDonalds. Such logic does not work with every fact, but there are many learning tools we can gather to teach us these things

Conclusion Teaching others about the truth is as easy as teaching them about something they know about. You draw parallels in your teaching, so that they can understand the basic points. These points are really simple to comprehend, and thus the truth can be learned in much the same way. Are you doing your part to teach others?
