2. MLA Tips!
1. Type your name, your teacher’s name, your class, and the date (day Month Year) in the top left corner.
2. Type your title. Hit Enter. Type your first line.
3. Center your title (highlight it, then click the Paragraph line button that puts the text in the center). Indent your first line (hit the “Tab” button).
4. Double-click near the top of the page to open the Header editing option. Insert the page number by selecting “Insert Page Number” in the tool bar in the top left section. Make the “1” go to the right side of the page.
5. Type your last name before the number. Double-click outside of the header area to make it go back to normal.

The Title of the Piece I am Working On
I am writing a sentence here to show you that I must indent first, and then carry on with my sentence. Here I begin my piece. It will contain the Appetizer, two Entrees, a dessert, and the specialty dessert for my book. I’m calm; I’m collected; I will not stress out because I can do this!
Keep in mind that you start a new paragraph by hitting enter then indenting it!

5. More Tips!
Check your Margins. They need to be all 1” margins. (Click on “Layout” tab at the very top in the blue of your word document. Then click “Margins”.
Keep your font Times New Roman 12 or Calibri 11.
