1. German 4th and 5th Graders
Usually walk or bicycle to school
Bring a sack lunch (no cafeterias in school)
Have a schedule that is different each day
Have a break after every period
(5 min.)
Have recess after every other period(20 min.)

2. German 4th and 5th Graders
Get vacation breaks similar to yours
Always write with a fountain( ink) pen in cursive
Stay in their classroom (teacher changes rooms according to schedule)
Get graded on a scale of 1 to 6 (1 is the best)
Have to take tests by answering ORQs or long answers ( very little multiple choice or t/f)
Have no lockers (even when they get to high school)

3. German 4th and 5th Graders
Have to take the following subjects:
Reading Writing Spelling
Math
Biology, Geography
History
Music, Art, P.E.
Foreign Language
(usually English)
