Eight Patrols, led by the Scouts themselves
Except for the first year Patrol, the leaders are elected from among the Patrol’s members
Two Patrols for 1st year Scouts led by older boys called Troop Guides
Five Patrols for Scouts in 7th through 10th Grade

7. Scouting Trains Leaders
We're a Boy Led Troop
The boys take care of almost every aspect of our program. For example:
Leading the patrols
Taking care of equipment
Teaching younger scouts
Writing articles for our newsletter
If the boys didn't do their jobs, a Troop our size couldn't function

After his first year, each of our Scouts takes on a position of leadership
Leadership is a requirement for the higher ranks
As he gets older, he takes on more responsibility
There are job descriptions for every job listing the objective, requirements, qualifications, and the level of commitment expected from the Scout in that job
