The Origins Of MOOCS The word MOOCs was coined in 2008
This format has been used a couple of times by George Siemens and Stephen Downes in their CCK08 ( Connectivism and Connective Knowledge Course run in 2008) connecting learners > presenting content MIT and Harvard University etablished a MOOCs platform edX in 2012 The word MOOCs was coined in 2008 by Dave Cormier from the University of Monitoba.
