To analize the effects of political and institutional changes on agricultural producers’ adaptive capacity to adverse climatic events.
To specifically consider technological policies.
To understand the “double exposure” of farmers to political-economic and climatic events and processes
To frame agricultural producers’requirements for enhancing adaptive capacity within the notion of sustainability.
Activities:
To sketch political and institutional changes for the last thirty years.
To relate those changes with agricultural producers’ possibilities of adaptation to climate variability.
To propose some measures for capacity building, whether for prevention or amelioration of climate variability impacts.
