2. ONLINE GRADES! You can view your child’s grades on line!
You can access these grades through the District link or on CD Middle’s link on our homepage.
You can self register online at cdschools.org by clicking the quick link for Home Access Center (as long as you have provided your address on the emergency contact sheets).  It walks you through it step by step.  If you have problems after that, the secretaries said that you are welcome to call them.

3. HOMEWORK
Students should be writing down their homework every night in their planner. If they happen to forget one night, they may call a homework buddy or check the website. Here is the link to the calendar:
In case that doesn’t work. Go to the district website. Then go to CDMS and click Team/Staff- Red Phoenix. You will then see a homework . Click that and find the date you want to check on. Then click on it and you will see the homework.

4. Homework continued…
Students will have homework almost every night. Each homework assignment is worth 2 points each. If it is half done, the student will earn 1 point.
If a student does not turn in their homework it is 10% off each day, up to three days, unless we go over it in class. Most homework assignments we will not go over in class so the students are responsible for showing all their work. This is a district rule. After three missed homework assignments, they will receive a lunch detention the next day.

5. Warning (Red) Cards
Every time that a student receives a warning card, the parent/guardian will be notified by the teacher. I will you and let you know why they received it. If it was for unprepared, I will you the dates they were unprepared. Here are the consequences for warning cards:
LUNCH DETENTION
After 3 Warning Cards (Referred to Guidance Counselor)
AFTER SCHOOL DETENTION
After 6 Warning Cards (Referred to Principals/Guidance Counselor)
1 DAY OF ISS
After 9 Warning Cards (Referred to Principals/Guidance Counselor)
Student Ineligible for School Sponsored Activities the Remainder of the Marking Period.
2 Days of ISS
After 12 Warning Cards (Referred to Principals/Guidance Counselor)
3 Days of ISS
After 15 Warning Cards (Referred to Principals/Guidance Counselor)

6. Math What makes up my child’s grade: Classwork/Homework-25%
Quizzes-25%
Tests-50%

8. Math Online
The students have been informed how they can access this program online.
Website:
Their user information should be written in their planner. Username: First initial, last name followed by a number(possibly)
Password: student ID followed by the letter “A”
You can access this online at any time. Then this should show up:
Click on the Math book

9. Math Online Continued…
This screen should pop up. If you click “Open ebook” the book that they have will open up.
In this book there are apps or icons where they can click for vocab help, tutoring, and so much more.
