2 Vocabulary Supple (adj) – soft and bends easily. Her supple fingers danced over the piano keys. Disregard (v) – To decide that something or someone is not worth paying attention to. Jason has determined to disregard anything Ms. Conant says. Gnarled (adj) – wrinkled and twisted usually due to age. Her gnarled fingers made it difficult for her to zip her jacket.

3 Dramatic Irony Tool used by writers to make stories more interesting and to sustain the attention of the reader. It generates curiosity. Allows the reader/audience to be more involved.
