2. Overview of Brief The theme of the Unit was Organic 1.
This unit consisted of Unit 3,4 and 5.
Unit 3 – drawing.
Unit 4 – communication skills.
Unit 5 – creating a 2D outcome.
Part 1 of the organics project was 7 weeks long.
We had introductions to drawing skills, we did photography, mono and lino printing and looked into extending the prints.

6. Photography task
Pictures are untouched (no filters) because I think they look good naturally.
The colours are vibrant on their own.

I enjoyed this task the most as I am confident in printing and most of my prints are successful.

8. Lino printing I found lino printing difficult as it was my first time
Didn’t enjoy it massively
Prints could have turned out better
Found it difficult to cut out the design

My favourite embellishment is the insect one because it was the most successful and took the longest time.

10. Artists that have inspired me
Mark Hearld inspired me because he uses a lot of colour in his work and makes it very interesting to look at. His lino prints are what inspire me most because he includes a lot of organic shapes and detail which I tried to include in my own prints
April Richardson inspired me because her prints are very realistic which is something I tried to include in my own work. The colours are also realistic as she uses an autumnal theme which is something I like.

11. Reflection
I have learnt a range of new techniques and different mediums.
I have improved my drawing, printing and photography.
I enjoyed printing and photography as they are two of my favourite mediums.
My least favourite part of the project was the perspective drawing as drawing isn’t one of my strong points and I found it quite difficult.

12. Target Setting
Make sure all my work is up to date every week and do a lot more work at home.
Concentrate more in class.
Do my practical work the best I can.
