3. Why cursive?
To have a consistent approach to handwriting across the school

5. Which font?! We are following the Joinit handwriting programme
We have the joinit C1 font downloaded on all computers.
On the teachhandwriting.
co.uk we use letter set 3.
On Twinkl we use the normal cursive font.

6. Teaching sequence
We teach letters in groups/families based on the letter sets starting, directional and finishing points not in alphabetical order.
Teaching in sets can help the children to learn the movement needed to create each shape and can help to limit letter reversals.
