My experience in first grade has been very special and rewarding as well as challenging because the children who come here to El Hogar have a lot of difficulties because they haven’t done pre-school. Everyday I put all my effort and it is my challenge to teach them not only the academic content but also teach them how valuable each of them is as a human being. When I remember how we started first grade in the beginning of the year and I see the all of their improvements I feel so satisfied to see everything that my little ones have learned so far. I am very happy because I know that God gave me this opportunity to work here especially with first grade. Gladys JImenez

I have had this great opportunity to work here at El Hogar as an English teacher as well as translating letters to and from sponsors. For me it is so rewarding when I see the children speaking English with the missionaries who visit us here at El Hogar because it is the result of my hard work inside the classrooms. Additionally, it is so important for me when I see the children growing not only in age but also in wisdom and Faith to God. Finally, one of my great achievements here has been start teaching English to the new kids with no previous knowledge and to see how motivated they are, and also to see how they want to learn everyday more and more. This is my second home. This is the place where I grew up both professionally and spiritually.
Working here at El Hogar and teaching Computers I learned to value all the blessings from God. I am blessed by having the opportunity to teach the children the basics in computers and how they can make presentations in PowerPoint, investigation and other programs. My experience has been great to be part of El Hogar family, and my hope and prayers are for this project to continue helping children. I thank everyone who makes this project possible. Jonathan Sanchez (Computer Teacher)
