Today English is the official language of international conferences, and most of the important publications in science and technology now appear in English. Researchers must read English-language journals and books to keep up with advances in their fields.
China is taking an important role in the global manufacturing industry. There are many multinational companies around China.

(6) Using online course resources to enlarge your technical vocabulary, and improve your listening and speaking English skills in ME.

14. Groups: Group project Tips: 1. 4-5 students in one group.
Divide the class into several study groups based on voluntary basis after class.
Tips: students in one group.
2. make sure one girl in each group.
3. convenient for students in a group to get together.
Encourage students to cooperate with each other when preparing for assignments.
P.S: The final group presentation is expected to be finished in 10mins, plus 5-10mins for question and answer session.

15. Group project Presentation assignment (Group Project) :
Problem: Each group has to conceive of a topic related to mechanical engineering , and present your research in the form of PPT. By the end of this course, demonstrate your presentations to the class.
Hints: Possible topics:
Topic 1: Conceive of some devices to finish specific tasks. For instance, to assist your mother with daily houseworks, to help people with disabilities function better etc. Whatever you want or whatever you find interesting. Introduce your design ideas about the device.

16. Group project
Topic 2: Introduce the structure or function of a mechanical product. The product could be a lathe, a new camera, a new tool or an engine in a car … …
Topic 3: Introduce an advanced technology used in mechanical engineering.
… …All topics related to mechanical engineering are welcome.
Tips: to be creative, don’t just copy or download some existing information on Internet .

17. Assignments
Task 1: Read materials in Part 1, be familiar with technical terminologies related to mechanical engineering drawings.
Task 2: watch videos online course, prepare lessons before class.
