2 Regardless of what musical life in this country at all times was well developed, Britain gave the world a large number of famous performers. Did much to develop English musical culture, German composer G. F. Handel ( gg.). Fifty years of his life he lived in London. His famous Opera by ancient and biblical subjects, as well as oratorios, has absorbed a lot of English folk music and ancient English choral culture. Since the eighteenth century, most English composers worked in the genres of Opera and chorus (oratorio).

The particular popular music group The Beatles. The group has made a great contribution to the development of rock music all over the world. The group consisted of John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison, Ringo Starr. The Beatles - one of the striking phenomena of the world culture of the 60-ies of the 20th century.

The music of this group has combined Blues, pop and experimental directions. The lyrics are full of deep philosophical meaning.
