2. Overview
The lesson plan is created in an attempt to improve students’ skills of collecting information, making presentation in English language. Students work actively to search and gather information, to discuss diferrent types of pollution, causes and effects of pollution on people’s life and suggest sollutions.
Level: Grade 9 (Pre-intermediate)

3. Objectives By the end of the lesson, Ss will be able to:
Talk about variety kinds of pollution which they searched on the internet.
Discuss causes and effects of pollution on people’s life and suggest sollutions.
Use technology to find ideas for speaking activites, create their presentation.

4. Introduction
Teacher will begin lesson by introducing types of pollution (water pollution, air pollution, noise pollution, so on) and explaining different types of tools to design a presentation either by a video clip or powerpoint.

Research
Students research information of unemployment in the Internet
Sharing
Students share the information they’ve gained with their classmate
Designing
Students design quiz to test peers’ understanding
Students design presentation
Journalistic
Students write reflection on friends’ presentation

6. Process Students will work in groups of 4 or 5.
Each group will be assigned a specific type of pollution to research on the web.
Each group will present their information to the class
After group presentation, the other group has to write a reflection on their friends’ presentation

You will present your information in an interesting and creative way. Your presentation will be graded according to a rubric.
Presentation should address questions suggested and organize a quiz to test students’ understanding.

Reflection should be facilitated by Blogger, Edublogs, ….

Pollution is an alarming issue not only in Vietnam but also all over the world. As future generation, we should be aware of pollution situation in our country and take an action right now.
