The size of the font can signal the relative amount of energy in a specific form and how it changes over time.

9. Using Bar Graphs Each bar represents a form of energy
The height of the bar signals the amount of energy at that time.
In some cases a standard bar graph is used, but a composite bar graph can be used to illustrate the flow of energy. Composite bar graphs show that total energy remains the same because one bar is divided up into the different types of energy.

12. Using Circle Graphs
Each form of energy is a represented by a portion of the circle.
Multiple circle graphs can illustrate how the amount of energy in each form changes over time.
