The need for an ‘Introduction to Cancer’ education and awareness day for Practice nurses.
An overview of the patient cancer journey with a broader content involving the multidisciplinary team.

Many people in the community living with and beyond cancer
The numbers will increase due to longevity of life and treatment options available
Primary Care health care professionals best placed to discuss/communicate/ react
We often see patients regularly and have relationships with them

7. TODAY
Anything new causes apprehension and concern throughout the day. We hope the UNIQUE role of the Practice Nurse within Cancer Care becomes clearer and less of an unknown.
WE will work together with secondary care and the extended multidisciplinary team to achieve this.
Today will be an overview of the patient journey. The exact format for the CANCER CARE REVIEW has not been finalised therefore, please use this as an opportunity to voice your thoughts.
