1 High Spen HI ARMS Literacy work

2 Max has been learning to write his name and mark making.
Max enjoys looking at story books and is learning to identify who in each story.

3 Tilly and Kristian have been practising their phonics every day by matching pictures to CVC words bingo to support vocabulary and memory.

4 Our literacy learning We use a range of materials to learn. Mounip has been using BSL cd rom to support his vocabulary and phonic skills. Tilly has been using flash cards to remember her high frequency words. We have also been playing bingo to match tricky words with pictures to support our vocabulary. Jasmine loves reading stories in reading corner and can retell stories independently.

5 The Stone Age We enjoyed story about Little Nose the hero and we able to act out story and retell our own version of story. We were able to name key events from story with little support.

6 Mammoth ‘There cook food on fire and live in a cave’ said Tamzine.
‘Cave men kill animals for food and fur’ said Ruby.

9 Kristian was able to match words to pictures using initial letter.
Kristian created his own masterpiece about the story Little Nose the Hero. Kristian was able to match words to pictures using initial letter.

10 Ruby was able to create her own story map, recognise characters in story and complete her own version of the story.

11 Jasmine wrote her own losing tale and her precious toy independently.

12 Tilly wrote her own losing tale about her implant book.

13 Kristian practising his connective words.

14 We have been making sentences using connective words to support our sentences skills and our speech and language skills.
