This week we’ve had lots of fun learning about apples! We read many apple stories that were fiction and we compared those to a non-fiction Apple book by Gail Gibbons. We worked on rhyming words and learned we can create lots of words from our word family –et. We read about and sequenced the life cycle of an apple, as well as learned about wants/needs and goods/services. Our favorite book was What’s so terrible about swallowing an apple seed? We celebrated Johnny Appleseed’s birthday by reading a biography about him and making applesauce with apples that possibly came from seeds he planted many years ago!
