The Author of Our Faith Mark 6:4-6 (KJV) 4 But Jesus said unto them, A prophet is not without honour, but in his own country, and among his own kin, and in his own house. 5 And he could there do no mighty work, save that he laid his hands upon a few sick folk, and healed them. 6 And he marvelled because of their unbelief. And he went round about the villages, teaching

He Saw Their Faith Luke 5:17-26 (KJV) 17 And it came to pass on a certain day, as he was teaching, that there were Pharisees and doctors of the law sitting by, which were come out of every town of Galilee, and Judaea, and Jerusalem: and the power of the Lord was present to heal them And, behold, men brought in a bed a man which was taken with a palsy: and they sought means to bring him in, and to lay him before him And when they could not find by what way they might bring him in because of the multitude, they went upon the housetop, and let him down through the tiling with his couch into the midst before Jesus And when he saw their faith, he said unto him, Man, thy sins are forgiven thee. 22 But when Jesus perceived their thoughts, he answering said unto them, What reason ye in your hearts? 23 Whether is easier, to say, Thy sins be forgiven thee; or to say, Rise up and walk? 24 But that ye may know that the Son of man hath power upon earth to forgive sins, (he said unto the sick of the palsy,) I say unto thee, Arise, and take up thy couch, and go into thine house And immediately he rose up before them, and took up that whereon he lay, and departed to his own house, glorifying God.

The Measure of Faith Romans 12:3 (HCSB) 3 For by the grace given to me, I tell everyone among you not to think of himself more highly than he should think. Instead, think sensibly, as God has distributed a measure of faith to each one.

Author & Finisher of Our Faith
Hebrews 12:1-2 (KJV) 1 Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us, 2 Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.

The Tomb Was Empty 11 But Mary remained standing outside the tomb sobbing. As she wept, she stooped down [and looked] into the tomb. 12 And she saw two angels in white sitting there, one at the head and one at the feet, where the body of Jesus had lain. 13 And they said to her, Woman, why are you sobbing? She told them, Because they have taken away my Lord, and I do not know where they have laid Him. John 20:11-13 (AMP 14 On saying this, she turned around and saw Jesus standing [there], but she did not know (recognize) that it was Jesus 17 Jesus said to her, Do not cling to Me [do not hold Me], for I have not yet ascended to the Father. But go to My brethren and tell them, I am ascending to My Father and your Father, and to My God and your God. 18 Away came Mary Magdalene, bringing the disciples news (word) that she had seen the Lord and that He had said these things to her. John 20:14-18 (AMP)

The Guards & Chief Priests Testified
11 While the women were on their way, some of the guards went into the city. They told the chief priests everything that had happened. 12 The chief priests gathered together with the leaders and agreed on a plan. They gave the soldiers a large amount of money 13 and told them to say that Jesus' disciples had come at night and had stolen his body while they were sleeping. 14 {They added,} “If the governor hears about it, we'll take care of it, and you'll have nothing to worry about.” 15 The soldiers took the money and did as they were told. Their story has been spread among the Jewish people to this day. Matt 28:11-15 (GW)

The Disciples Saw Him Many Times
13 On the same day, two of Jesus' disciples were going to a village called Emmaus. It was about seven miles from Jerusalem. 15 While they were talking, Jesus approached them and began walking with them. 16 Although they saw him, they didn't recognize him. 17 He asked them, “What are you discussing?” They stopped and looked very sad. 18 One of them, Cleopas, replied, “Are you the only one in Jerusalem who doesn't know what has happened recently?” 19 “What happened?” he asked. They said to him, “We were discussing what happened to Jesus from Nazareth. He was a powerful prophet in what he did and said in the sight of God and all the people 25 Then Jesus said to them, “How foolish you are! You're so slow to believe everything the prophets said! 26 Didn't the Messiah have to suffer these things and enter into his glory?” 27 Then he began with Moses' Teachings and the Prophets to explain to them what was said about him throughout the Scriptures 30 While he was at the table with them, he took bread and blessed it. He broke the bread and gave it to them. 31 Then their eyes were opened, and they recognized him. But he vanished from their sight. Luke 24:13-31 (GW)

While They Were Talking
36 While they were talking about what had happened, Jesus stood among them. He said to them, “Peace be with you!” They were terrified, and thought they were seeing a ghost. 38 He asked them, “Why are you afraid? Why do you have doubts? 39 Look at my hands and feet, and see that it's really me. Touch me, and see for yourselves. Ghosts don't have flesh and bones, but you can see that I do.” 40 As he said this, he showed them his hands and feet. 41 The disciples were overcome with joy and amazement because this seemed too good to be true. Then Jesus asked them, “Do you have anything to eat?” 42 They gave him a piece of broiled fish. 43 He took it and ate it while they watched him. Luke 24:36-43 (GW)

Rather Die Than Deny Christ
2 In addition, you are saved by this Good News if you hold on to the doctrine I taught you, unless you believed it without thinking it over I passed on to you the most important points of doctrine that I had received: Christ died to take away our sins as the Scriptures predicted. 4 He was placed in a tomb. He was brought back to life on the third day as the Scriptures predicted. 5 He appeared to Cephas. Next he appeared to the twelve apostles Then he appeared to more than 500 believers at one time. (Most of these people are still living, but some have died.) 7 Next he appeared to James. Then he appeared to all the apostles. 8 Last of all, he also appeared to me. 1 Cor 15:1-8 (GW)

Rather Die Than Deny Christ
Mark 16:14-18 (KJV) 14 Afterward he appeared unto the eleven as they sat at meat, and upbraided them with their unbelief and hardness of heart, because they believed not them which had seen him after he was risen And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; 18 They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover
