27 SOCIAL HOCKEY

28 Why is this so important
National Data from Play Sport Australia confirms that future participation growth will be in the area of less traditional and structured sporting competition Hockey Australia Participation Strategy highlights the need for these social options Increasing the use of the hockey facilities during the day and at other times will take pressure on traditional membership revenues – CHA has a desire to increase non – member revenue to benefit CHA Allows the sport to be promoted to greater population base Use non- traditional modifications to the hockey product like Walking Hockey to target the aging population Why is this so important

29 OPPORTUNITIES SUMMER 6’S WALKING HOCKEY
HOCKEY PARTNERING WITH FITNESS/BOOT CAMP PROGRAMS- GET OUT – GET ACTIVE OTHERS OPPORTUNITIES

31 Representative programs other opportunities
Senior Men and Women Super League Zone representation – not city (April/May) favors South East corner, inability for our zone to train. Preferred player list detrimental to our local based players. Hockey Festival City representation – (October) 9 a side, 5 weeks out of season, age restricted, nobody cares. Impact Loss of ability to host Where/who are the Role Models Represent our City at 18 in normal format and then again at 35!!!!!!!!! Representative programs other opportunities

32 Representative programs so what do they provide??
