4. Appointment Requirements
HealthMarkets Agency
Maintain E&O Insurance
Active HealthMarkets contract
Complete Orientation and Prerequisite training
The Plus Group TX
Maintain a current health insurance license
Attend Plus Group TX training presented by either a representative of the Plus Group or Agency Manager or Complete the Plus Group TX Self Study – Required
After completing the above steps, you can write disability insurance plans through the Plus Group TX

5. Appointment Process
Submit appointment paperwork, copy of health insurance license, and copy of E&O insurance to the Sales Assistant with first piece of business for that carrier
Agents will receive carrier-specific agent numbers from the Plus Group TX after submitting the first application
If appointed with the carrier prior to HealthMarkets, agents need to transfer appointments to the HealthMarkets General Agency
