Take out your 2-column notes With a partner, ask your partner a question, and highlight the answer in the notes. Be sure to review ALL PRIMARY/SECONDARY source information.

November 7 – November 11, 2011 Monday – Primary & Secondary sources – 2 column notes; HOMEWORK: Write the left side margin questions about the notes taken. Tuesday – Victorian Period/Charles Dickens Project; HOMEWORK: Explain the answer to the ‘essential questions’ on the 2-column notes. Wednesday – Project/group work; SURPRISE Thursday – Library; Project/group work Friday – Complete project/group work and present information on Monday.

What is an example of an official document? Declaration of Independence What is an example of a Primary Source? “Diary of Anne Frank” – diary/journal/autobiography Does a secondary source happen ‘after the event’ or ‘right with the event’? Website (information posted that happens after the event occurs) A primary source is something you go to for information. (True) How do I know if a source is primary or secondary? Primary is original; Secondary is after the fact. How can I find Primary Sources besides just going to my library or the internet? museums

Primary/Secondary Source HW:
Reread your Primary/Secondary source notes and WRITE A SUMMARY of each set of notes. EXPLAIN the difference between PRIMARY and SECONDARY sources. You will be answering the ESSENTIAL QUESTIONS!

READ the articles within the folder, and TAKE notes from the articles’ information on the topics for the chart You may need a sheet of notebook paper to continue your notes DO NOT WRITE ON THE ARTCLES
