1 Warm Vessel South Wall Installation, Sub-assembly Option
SBN – Far Detector Warm Vessel South Wall Installation, Sub-assembly Option Frédéric Merlet, Justin Tillman, Andy Stefanik March 29, 2017 CERN - Fermilab

2 Starting point March 6, 2017: Frédéric: Make a corner sub-assembly that the building crane can install. Justin: Make the corner sub-assembly with ½ of the south wall panels to eliminate counter-balanced lifts for the South wall. 2 long-wall panels CG Crane coverage

3 The CG crosses into the crane coverage with this assembly.
Starting point: The CG crosses into the crane coverage with this assembly. 3 long-wall panels CG Crane coverage

4 CG, 5 long-wall panels [6,460 Kg (14,242 pounds)]
Moving on: CG, 5 long-wall panels [6,460 Kg (14,242 pounds)] CG, 4 long-wall panels [5,560 Kg (12,260 pounds)] Crane coverage

5 Use the assembly with the 4 long-wall panels.
Lifting Lifting Bar Lifting fixture Brace CG, 4 long-wall panels [5,560 Kg (12,260 pounds)] Lifting Bar Position crane hook over the CG. Crane coverage Quantity of 3 max.

6 Assembly: Assemble the North wall to support each South corner while it is assembled. Alternatively, brace it to the warm vessel floor. Bolt the 4 long-wall panels together on the warm vessel floor. Bolt the 3 short-wall panels together on the warm vessel floor. Bolt the two sub-assemblies together supported by the North wall.

7 Transport from the NE to the SW corner:
There is space to rotate the SW corner to correct orientation.
